As a valuable aid for teachers struggling to keep their students engaged throughout the hardships of COVID-19, filming is underway in Cradock for a 12-part video series promoting creativity, critical thinking and communication in virtual classrooms across South Africa.

On Mandela Day 18 July 2020 the 7th South African Ballet International Ballet Competition (SAIBC) came to a close with a spectacular gala featuring dancers from across the globe and presented virtually through an app in a groundbreaking move hailed as a world first.

While many eisteddfod events and other festivals planned for 2020 have been cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 challenge, The National Eisteddfod Academy (NEA) is happy to announce that its national eisteddfod activities for 2020 will go ahead as planned.

The festival’s website is readying itself to become a virtual stage: all events will be accessed through the website portal – both curated work and un-selected "fringe" events. The curated programme is a schedule of events that will be released each day from 25 June to 5 July. 

Concerts Connect is proud to present the second concert in a premier series of three concerts on 14 June 2020 at 15:30. From the magnificent Casa Labia in Muizenberg, Nina Schumann will present a solo piano recital featuring an eclectic programme of works by Bach, Haydn, Debussy and Rachmaninoff.
