Today Amos Nteta works front of house at the lovely Victoria Manor in Cradock.
He grew up in another Cradock, though. His generation took the final body blows in our country’s quest for liberation. Cradock was at the forefront of the revolution in the late eighties.
In this video Nteta talks about the work of Matthew Goniwe, Fort Calata, Sparrow Mkhonto and Sicelo Mhlauli, who jointly became known as the Cradock Four.
Nteta recalls their last days, and their funeral.
His talk formed part of the Etienne van Heerden Veldsoirée which took place in Cradock from Friday 23 to 25 September 2022.
