Anyone who is interested in South Africa’s future, especially of our agricultural communities, should book their tickets for two important talks on Saturday, 23 September at Buffelshoek, a farm just outside Cradock.
Christo van der Rheede, CEO of Agri SA, will present his view on the current state of agriculture. Directly after him the futurist Theo Venter will ask: What does our future hold?
These two conversations will take place during a special session of the Etienne van Heerden Veldsoirée.
Entry to the event includes a spitbraai and costs only R200 per person.
Later in the evening rugby will be broadcast in the bar, while word lovers will have access to an open microphone at another venue.
The proceedings start at 19:00, but guests are welcome to buy a drink earlier.
Several other experts and political analysts will also participate in the veldsoirée. They include Christi van der Westhuizen, Frans Rautenbach, Barend la Grange, Freek Robinson, Prince Mashele, Pedro Tabensky, Luvuyo Wotshela and Tembeka Ngcukaitobi.
Reservations for the spitbraai can be made at Buffelshoek Dirosie Lodge: buffelshoek.gamelodge@gmail.com or 060 433 4797.
General enquiries about the programme can be made by contacting to Die Tuishuise & Victoria Manor, reservations@tuishuise.co.za or 048 881 1650.
