Die pryse dien veral as aansporing en erkenning vir skrywers om gehalte publikasies op teologiese en Christelike gebied in al ons landstale te lewer. Die kortlyste vir toekenning in 2026 is in alfabetiese volgorde volgens skrywer.

Die vier toekennings is: CLF-Elise Tempelhoff Toekenning vir Omgewingsbewaring en -Geregtigheid; Jaap Durand-Denise Ackermann Toekenning vir Eenheid, Geregtigheid en Versoening; Andrew Murray-SAKOV-Toekenning: Kerkmusiek en; Eerwaarde Andries Dreyer-Toekenning: Kerkhistoriese Navorsing.

Announcing the shortlists for the 2026 prize of the Andrew Murray Desmond Tutu Prize Fund
The shortlists for the book prices to be presented on 29 May 2026 are now available. The main purpose of the three book prizes is to encourage and acknowledge writers for quality publications in the fields of theology and Christian literature in all South African languages. The short lists for the three categories of prices to be awarded in 2026 are in alphabetic order according to author names.

The winners of the three book prizes, together with the recipients of the four awards, will be announced to the public on Thursday 30 April 2026. The four awards for 2026 are: CLF-Elise Tempelhoff Award for Environmental Conservation and Justice; Jaap Durand-Denise Ackermann Award for Unity, Justice and Reconciliation; Andrew Murray-SAKOV Award: Church Music and; Reverend Andries Dreyer Award: Research in the field of Church History.
