Mirror, Mirror on the wall … who is the fairest one of all?
Stagecraft Drama Studio will be staging Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs during the summer holidaysat Artscape Theatre Foyer between 10 and 22 December. Performances are daily at 10:30 (except Sundays and December 17) and Saturday, 15 December at 12:30 as well.
This famous children’s fable is of a beautiful baby girl who was named Snow White. She was brought up by a cruel, wicked mother called the Queen. She was very jealous of her beautiful stepdaughter, Snow White. One day she sends Snow White into the forest with a hunter who had been told to get rid of her. Snow White ran away and saw a little house in the forest. The house belonged to seven dwarfs, Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, and Dopey. She knocked on the door but no-one answered. She opened the door and saw a table laid with seven tiny plates and spoons. Upstairs were seven neat little beds. She set to work, made a steaming bowl of soup for them to eat and soon everything was spick and span. Exhausted she fell asleep on a little bed.
When the dwarfs came home and heard her sad story, they asked her to stay with them. She cooked and cleaned the house for them, until one day …
This well-known fairy tale, directed by Cheryl Abromowitz and performed by members of the Stagecraft Drama Studio, will warm all hearts during the holiday season.
