There is a dream of performing in New York City. The bustling metropolis is home to some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls and music venues, and to grace one of these stages would be a true accomplishment. The passion for music and desire to share it with others fuels the ambition to practice for hours on end, perfecting each note and phrase in preparation for the big moment. The thought of performing in front of a crowd, feeling the energy and excitement of the audience, is a dream that drives the dedication to achieve this goal.
Hermanus Schmidt (Gr 9 PRG), Kalu Ueckermann (Gr 11 PRG), and Chadley Leith (Gr 12 Calling Academy) have been invited (as prizewinners of the International Youth Music Competition) to perform in the DiMenna Centre for Classical Music in New York. This dream is becoming a reality in September 2023. Please support these young musicians in their fundraiser to achieve their goals.
