
The Unisa Music Foundation lunch hour concert series continues this month with a concert by the Charl du Plessis Trio on Friday 17 May at 13:00 in the Miriam Makeba Concert Hall.
The Charl du Plessis Trio is one of the leading cross-over jazz ensembles in SA specializing in mixing classical music with jazz.
On 17 May this outfit will perform music by Baroque composers Bach, Handel and Vivaldi in a jazz style arranged by Du Plessis.
This performance will precede their tour of Switzerland in July.
Charl du Plessis is the youngest person on the African continent to be named a Steinway Artist. His performance on Friday will include bassist Werner Spies and drummer Hugo Radyn.
Entry is free, but audience members are advised to come early.
