Matters of the heart

What in the world
Would I do
If I lost you again?
What would I do?

Where would I go?
How would I start?
I’d be ruined without you.
But I’m sure you know…

I’m a fool when it comes to matters of the heart.
I have tried to get it right, but
I have never been smart about

Showing I care.
Maybe I’m scared
You’ll finally see
How silly I am.

I’m a fool when it comes to matters of the heart.
I have tried to get it right, but
I have never been smart about

Love.
I don’t understand it.
When it breaks
I know you can’t mend it.
So when you
Say that you love me
Then I don’t know what to do... but

This time around
You can be sure
I will open the doors,
Roll back the blinds,
Let in the light
So you can see inside

I was a fool to think that I could just sit back.
Now I need to realise that I need to be brave
Enough to say that I love you.
Yes I love you
Yeah I do.
