Dr Anthony Costandius matriculated from Paarl Boys' High in the Western Cape. Subsequently he went on to graduate from the University of Stellenbosch with BA and BA (Hons), HDE and MA (Counselling Psychology). He then attained a PhD in Child Psychology from the University of the Free State.
He started his career as a Teacher Counsellor and Head of the Counselling Department at Bellville Technical High School. He then worked as the Assistant Superintendent of Education at the Education Support Centre in Cape Town.
He is currently a Counselling Psychologist in his own private practice with three other psychologists and an Occupational Therapist at the Promed Child and Family Unit. Dr Costandius mainly deals with Individual and Child issues, including Anxiety, Depression and Loss. He also sees a limited number of couples as well as children with learning an concentration difficulties, offering support and guidance to both them and their parents.
Despite having his private practice, Dr. Costandius also pursues to better himself through recent qualifications, which include Hypnotherapy Level I and a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. He succesfully completed Transactional Analysis, Forensic Assessments and Neuropsychology courses.
