Artscape offers an exciting talent mix at this year’s Youth Month celebrations ranging from musical drama to a disability career expo.

Marlene le Roux, Artscape’s Director of Audience Development and Education says, “the youth programmes aim to contribute to social cohesion, integration and inclusion of previously disadvantaged communities and to contribute to transformation in our society. The new challenge facing our youth is the acquisition of skills. Only through learning new skills can they add value to themselves, their future careers and their communities. To build on this, many of Artscape’s programmes and partnerships are focused on skills development”.

On Sunday 3 June at 17:00 The Athlone Academy of Music presents a benefit concert featuring talented youth from the Cape Flats. Moves from 6 to 9 June offers two shows for the price of one. Moves 2 is first and foremost a revelation of what happens when the worlds of spiritual, hip hop dancing and singing meet. Tickets cost R60.
