
The String Quartet Op 11 by Bartók and Brahms’ Piano Quintet Op 34 will be performed by the Goldberg String Quartet on Sunday 24 June in the Enoch Sontonga Hall.
This concert, part of the Unisa Music Foundation Concert Series, starts at 16:00.
The Goldberg String Quartet is a professional string quartet that performs major chamber music repertoire.
The musicians are Zanta Hofmeyer (violin), Daline Wilson (violin), Morkel Combrink (viola) and Wess Beukes (cello). Pianist Malcolm Nay will join the quartet for the Brahms piano quintet.
The quartet can often be heard at major arts festivals around the country.
They received two kykNET Fiesta nominations to date, in 2010 and 2011.
Tickets for this chamber music concert are sold only at the door at R85 for adults and R65 for students and pensioners.
