The competition consists of four rounds. Finalists will be required to perform a concerto with orchestra.
The organisers are offering successful applicants a return flight ticket, free accommodation with host parents and an accompanist for the duration of the competition.
The total prizes are worth more than R890 000.
The first Unisa International Piano Competition was presented in 1982. Several other instruments were represented since then.
