Images of Dreams: An exhibition by Rudi Trap

Rudi Trap is a versatile artist who also followed a career in theatre, film and television. The works he exhibits in his forthcoming exhibition, were inspired during a period when he was deeply influenced by the philosophy and principles of Carl Jung. To him, it makes complete sense that for a human being to find his or her true inner self, a deep look into the unconscious is called for. In the unconscious, the truth and symbols of life are hidden. These symbols are expressed through dreams. An understanding of these symbols brings them forth from the unconscious to the conscious mind.

Rudi says: “The use of pen and ink is one of my strongest medium of expression. Through the simplicity of line and fluidity I am best able to translate the intimacies of my dream world.”

Rudi’s exhibition is for the discerning art lover.

The exhibition is opened on Friday 18 May 2012 at 18:30 for 19:00 and runs until 6 June 2012. The artist will conduct a walkabout on Saturday 19 May 2012 at 11:00.
