WHAG brings art to the people
The William Humphrey’s Art Gallery (WHAG) will be bringing an Exhibition of original South African graphic prints to be enjoyed by the people of Richmond and BookFees goers. The Exhibition will include works by Walter Battiss, Pippa and Cecil Skotnes, Peter Clarke, Sam Nhlegethwa , Dumisani Mabaso and a number of other fabulous South African Artists.
This Exhibition is a MUST-SEE!! It will be on display at the MAP Gallery from:

National Library of South Africa Disaster Management & Recovery
The Book Preservation Services of the National Library in CT will be hosting a fully comprehensive two day workshop on Thursday and Friday, October 27 & 28th from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The course will cover (mind the pun) the recovery of water damaged books, their restoration as well as general book care and repair. A certificate of attendance will be presented. Architectural Walk About Richmond
Leaving from BTRHQ at 10:30am sharpish Saturday with local architectural authority on some of the unique architecture found in the dorp and some insights into how the styles and buildings evolved.
Modern Art Projects (Map) – South Africa presents exhibitions by Roger Ballen, Abrie Fourie and interventions by Seretse Moletsane. The Roger Ballen exhibition features a selection of works from his world renowned publications Dorps, Platteland, Outland, Shadow Chamber and Boarding House. A selection of images from Abrie Fourie's recently published book Oblique can also be viewed. Seretse Moletsane celebrates Richmond's annual bookfair with graffitied quotations strategically placed throughout the town.
