A Town Called Fokol Lutho is a new, a cappella musical comedy, that brings five men, and five harmonised voices to a small Karoo town where nothing ever happens, and no-one is good at anything except singing and not falling in love. It runs at Kalk Bay Theatre from 12 July to 10 August.
Written and composed by Jervis Pennington (of The Soft Shoes fame, and the musical Scribble); the show features Jervis with Carlo Daniels (Kat and The Kings), Moenier Adams (Afrikaaps, Let’s Mix It), Waasief Piekaan (Wrongly Accused, Vocal is Lekker,) and Jack the Bass aka Nkosekhaya Mgoqi, under the direction of Tara Notcutt (Three Little Pigs, Mafeking Road) and musical direction of Paul Morrissey (D7).
