Les Javan
Les Javan has been around for many years. He has made quite a lot of waves in the Afrikaans music industry over the last year or 2 with the release of his Afrikaans material and hit song, Met jou aan my sy. This song practically plays on RSG every single day. He has worked with an array of the most talented musicians in SA and also gained recognition for his involvement in the Solms-Delta project in Franschoek. As a writer, composer and musician, Les Javan’s work is dedicated to the fostering of an environment where cultural and musical differences are respectfully appreciated.That was clear at his jam-packed performance at the Woordfees 2013. When it comes to Les, there is no real need to say too much…the proof is in the pudding. Listen to his tunes and you will know why he is viewed as a songwriter of note.

Melissa van der Spuy
She is a Singer, a Songwriter, an instrumental composer, a jazz pianist, a producer, a session pianist and a backing vocalist. She is also known as the quirky stage personality “Ousus”. When performing as “Ousus” she does her own tongue-in-the-cheek interpretations of popular Afrikaans songs…which can be quite hilarious. "Ousus" also impresses with her own interpretations and uniquely styled arrangements of popular cult songs. She is probably the most versatile musician I know – who manages to work in so many different spheres of the music industry. She is an admirable example of how a talented and hardworking musician can earn a decent living in a very challenging industry. This woman knows how to write songs and can work on almost any kind of project. It will be worth your while to have a listen to her! You probably have seen her on stage with artists such as Koos Kombuis, Amanda Strydom, Sarah Theron, Claire Johnson, Huisgenoot Skouspel, on television and at a diverse variety of festivals (the list goes on and on and on!)
