Young at heart

We are young at heart, the way we prefer
Better than being old and stark
Being able to face the dark
rather than the end with all the light

We are young at heart, the way we prefer
Being able to clutch life with all ten fingers
to make our own path
Cut down the hedges that divide our hearts

We are young at heart, the way we prefer
To fall in love like fools in each other’s company
To reflect upon the short past and praise your finds
To laugh with friends for many nights to come

We are young at heart, the way we prefer
Injustice we cannot see, the wars we do not feel
For economy we cannot care

We are young at heart, the way we prefer
Sleeping till late, awake till the morning came
Time irrelevant to all of us

We are young at heart, the way we prefer
Sun our enemy, the moon’s always greeting us
Always with his friendly face
guiding us always till the end of night

We are young at heart, the way we prefer
Running with sharp things
Igniting all of earth’s matches
Always where mother’s eyes cannot see

We are young at heart, the way we prefer
We are young at heart, the way we prefer
The way we prefer
