"Writer's block" by Kheswa Khlan

Boomerang each concept I recite
So I put pen to paper
But for some odd reason
It jams and stutters …
Whatever I seem to write
Tear out page
Glance at the paper trail piling up
I already know it’s gonna be another lonely night
So should I …
Send her a blank note
So she can see she leaves me speechless
Dial her numbers
Drop the phone
So she can hear how she leaves breathless
Knock on her door
Trick and treat allure
So she can see she’s my sweetest weakness

HOOK

I’ve been stuck on the word YOU
Tried to substitute it with other letters
But nothing good can replace something better
Proofread my thoughts back to the day I met her
They say a picture’s worth more than a thousand words
So I keep these snapshots to every verse
It’s not that I’m afraid
Your just worth more than the lines rephrased
From a smooth operator’s rehearse
Yeah It finally caught up … I broke the players curse
Cause now my mind is only stuck on YOU

A king can only have one queen of hearts
But that jack of spades becomes the ripper
If the king don’t take charge
I guess I need to …
Jumpstart my latest ambition
Push to start to this ignition
I don’t know how I’ll get there
But I know you’re my final destination
Craft my way cause you’re a work of art
Navigate my way when he tosses your heart
And that’s the rule of finders keepers
Add the principle of loosers weepers
I might be lost for words
But we can communicate with other body features
Now here’s my pinky promise
To my future Venus
Our worlds may collide
But you’ll always be part of my axis
Wave my peace sign to every fight
Kiss you before we dim the lights
Text you ‘I love you’ in the noon light
Hopes still stuck on you till that sunrise

HOOK

I’ll make you the capital L
The bridge that ventilates my shaft
Alters the curves that shape my heart
And when you walked down that aisle
I will rearrange the vowels … I and U
Put aside that U O me
so you can see that I O U
Till death do us part
Nah … girl I ain’t playing
It’s just the words my soul keeps saying
But my hand keeps restraining
Yes I’ll still be stuck on you
But right now I need to help myself get through
… this writer’s block
