Toast To Me

I’m up late at night, always talking hype
But I got more points than a porcupine
Till my friends say maybe I should draw the line
“cause people are getting pissed off like all the time

But take a look at this opinion, is it yours or mine?
That’s what I thought, so let me proceed to bore your mind
Let’s pour some wine, talk ‘n’ dine
We can talk all night and ignore the time
But will we ever reach the bottom of this pointless rhyme?
At this point in time, we just avoid the signs
We keep eating that fruit of the poisoned kind
forgetting that life don't have rewind
I've seen this story, and I don't like how it ends
Highly intense, fighting with friends
Going in circles and never making amends

So the longer we pick at these old wounds
the more likely they'll leave scars.
And all too often we get consumed
Why can’t the past just be the past?
See, hatred’s a disease, a contagious lil’
seed, that will infect your mind and leave you very ill
So I’ll take a step back, despite your rants and acts
And at least I got myself some good material

So I'm spitting conspiracy theories to anyone near me
I'm speaking clearly, but they don't hear me
Though I don't take it personally
‘cause personally, I believe I'm the person I chose to be
Well, most of me
And if we're acknowledging faults, then lets’ toast to me
‘Cause I'm totally the best me that anyone's supposed to be
