Thoughts in my head

I have this little box
underneath my bed
I fill it up every night
with thoughts in my head

Sometimes it bursts open,
I have to sit on it to keep it closed
Sometimes the force inside's too great
to keep my thoughts in its hold

I'm forced to look them over
as they dance and shine in the light
As they swirl around, around me
they become, they become, they become too bright

So I hide in the corner
climb under my bed
To try escape the memories
dancing 'round my head

I'll take my box to the lighthouse
and I'll climb right to the very top
I'll put it on the highest ledge
and I'll kick it off and watch it drop

I have this little box
underneath my bed
I fill it up every night
with thoughts in my head
