The Race

Stuck in a circle
Same old story
Misery's the company
We’re never really lonely

The birth of a new day
puts a frown on my face
Have to labour for the fruit
that's so bitter in taste

PRE-CHORUS:
Those who ran before me
wish they told me about this
‘Cause there's nothing here for me
How I wish I can find some peace

CHORUS:
We’re just running a race
that never ends
But the only way it could end
is when we can't breathe again (x2)

Stuck in traffic
Moving at a snail's pace
And my back against the wall
So much energy I waste

And yesterday's dreams
Gone without a trace
And now it seems
only trouble that I face

PRE-CHORUS

CHORUS

BRIDGE:
Give me liberation
No more running this race
Give me vocation
Let my life take shape (x2)

PRE-CHORUS

CHORUS
