The hot cross buns debacle

  • 1

WT* This was a golden opportunity to extend a hand of friendship. They, the creepy closet fanatics chose instead to elevate a simple piece of dough into a weapon and in so doing missed an opportunity to offer reconciliation and peace.

What they, these autocratic so-called Christians forget: this is a democracy and no one group should dictate to any other.

What bitter and unhappy people they must be! Surely this is not what Christianity is all about? Such pettiness should not be tolerated.

So it appears that each religion, regardless, has a group of fanatics in their midst and these are the true enemies.

On a lighter note, my local supermarket owner dismissed the whole debacle by simply just wrapping the buns and putting a price sticker on them. So we are still going to be enjoying these sticky delicious and fattening goodies come hell or high water. I will be putting a few packets in the freezer for later.

Regards

Ellie

  • I do not know your hot cross debacle you had. I however witch to comment on your remark about fanatics in Christianity and other religions. I do agree fanatics that use religion to commit murder or terror are a problem that needs to be eliminated. Christianity falls under a great umbrella and not all who say I am a Christian is a Christian. It is easy for someone who says they believe in a god or in a Jesus to say he or she is a Christian. I cannot say I am a Christian if I pray to other gods. I cannot say I am a Christian if I bow before idols. I cannot say I am a Christian if I cannot follow the commandments set out in the word of God to use it as a measure or rule book to make sure I am walking in the will of God. I cannot say I am a Christian if I do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I cannot say I am a Christian if I am ashamed to witness Christ to others for the sake of my own reputation or friends. If I cannot do the will of God then I cannot say I am a Christian. If I do the sins mentioned in the Bible then I cannot say I am a Christian. If I do this I bring God’s judgments upon myself that is mentioned in the Bible. If I reject Jesus Christ gift of salvation I know that hell will be my eternal punishment. It is my wish that all Christians will acknowledge the truth of this fact. For it is the Word of God that said the above. It is not my own fanaticism.
