What is freedom
Who may embrace it
Where can it be found
Why is it elusive
All the questions
Do we have the answers?
Is it a yes or a no
A maybe, perhaps or
A rather let it go
Has letting it go
Become our trademark
Or are we as a nation
Still lacking that spark
The spark that freedom
Was supposed to bring
But look at us now
We don't know whether
We must cry or sing
South Africa get up get ready
Stop the blaming and complaining
The road to freedom
Was a long journey
And it’s done
It was for you for me
For every single one
It’s time to claim, live and share
For those who travelled before us
Had a lot to dare
Freedom is there
For us all to enhance
Luckily our father in heaven
Blessed us with a second chance
