LitNet is looking for an enthusiastic team-player to take on the project management of our Sing ’it project, a lyrics competition sponsored by Sanlam. The successful candidate will assume full responsibility for the quality delivery of all aspects of the project.

Responsibilities

The project manager must assume full responsibility for every aspect of the Sing ’it project and related matters, subject to and in accordance with instructions by senior LitNet staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Initiating and participating in planning and costing brainstorms of the project
  • Working closely with LitNet management and sponsors to ensure efficient implementation of project requirements in line with objectives
  • Management and/or execution of all aspects of the different project phases, including planning, media and marketing, promotions, negotiations with partners and participants, overall communication, processing of entries, website / mobi site / social media design and updating, reporting, etc.
  • Management and/or execution of the development, design and updating of all the digital platforms associated with the project, including the Sing ’it subsite on the LitNet website
  • Ensuring that all timing schedules are accurately set and taking responsibility that deadlines are met
  • Ensuring that all project details and deadlines are accurately communicated to all relevant parties
  • Ensuring that all project-related documents are correct, including the project plan, media plan,  press releases, website content, reports, etc.
  • Managing and evaluating project requirements and project progress from inception to conclusion
  • Timeous communication of project progress to LitNet management and sponsors
  • Monitoring and keeping a record of all project costs
  • Assuming full responsibility for the quality delivery of the project
  • Adherence to the decisions and instructions by senior LitNet staff
  • Sing ’it forms part of LitNet and is integrated with the broader website. The Sing ’it Project Manager is, therefore, part of  the LitNet editorial staff and, as such, will supply input with regard to contents and daily management and will specifically assist with the generation of related content.
