"Silent heart" by Jean Botha

Silent heart

I walk this road, and all the while I’m sinking
I watch your face; I wanna know what you’re thinking
Just for a while I need to know that it’s all right
I long for your smile, to make me breathe again, tonight

Tonight I feel like my heart left and love died, there’s a divide I’m sitting on the wrong side
Can’t get to you I just can’t make that distance
But still I try to repeat that sequence

I know it’s wrong that I want you
I know you’re gone but I still got you,
I don’t know how to get through today
Just need to hear that everything is okay

‘Cause I don’t like taking chances don’t like the unknown
Can’t handle the uncertainty of a future I can’t see
Not into doing it your way when I don’t know what you’ll say
And I can’t take it, no, can’t take it
To say good bye

You heart is dark, feeds on the pain of the lonely
Your mind is stark, taken with everyone but me
Your cold device almost hides your true eye
I’ll roll fate’s dice and bet one of us, cries

I know it’s wrong that I want you
I know you’re gone but I still got you,
I don’t know how to get through today
Just need to hear that everything is okay

‘Cause I don’t like taking chances don’t like the unknown
Can’t handle the uncertainty of a future I can’t see
Not into doing it your way when I don’t know what you’ll say
And I can’t take it, no, can’t take it
To say good bye

I walk in silence through the garden of decay
I walk in silence as I try to find my way
I tell my story through from the start
I tell my story through my silent heart

‘Cause I don’t like taking chances don’t like the unknown
Can’t handle the uncertainty of a future I can’t see
Not into doing it your way when I don’t know what you’ll say
And I can’t take it, no, can’t take it
To say good bye
