Pedestrian Crossing

Ever felt at heart
that someone might break it apart?
But you don’t know what love is
Stranded in emotion
soul so dry you need some lotion
to figure out what this is

CHORUS:
But you won’t settle for less
Nothing but true happiness
that you can figure will be exposing
Though love can make you blind
you can search and most def you will find
on your path, no pedestrian crossing

Everyone is made different
Old thoughts may seem so recent
but we’re still mending the pieces
Lord, I pray above
won’t you help me learn to love
and let go of this disease?

CHORUS:
But I won’t settle for less
Nothing but true happiness
So I might figure if it’s exposing
leading me when I am blind
Hope to search so I will find
on my path, no pedestrian crossing

BRIDGE:
You give me subject matter
with you my life will be better
I shouldn’t be making a list
like fighting with an iron fist
I'm frozen, come pick me up
No pedestrian crossing

CHORUS:
But you won’t settle for less
Nothing but true happiness
that you can figure will be exposing
Though love can make you blind
you can search and most def you will find
on your path, no pedestrian crossing
