"Peace" by George L Weber

Peace

Stirring open wounds.
Nursing healed skin,
Bite the hand that feedss
Stroke the knife that cut so deep,
hit thy brother
swear thy mother
slice thy sister ,
turn from thy father,
why care, love or even bother.
Hands closed up,
fists erupt,
hate in flood,
love is lost,
lust a life cost.
Guilty as sin,
let the pleasures begin,
problems cured by all,
love and trust are not on call,
take this
drink that
do like so
go there
never say a prayer.
All these man-made gods gets trusted
pulling all by eyes full of lust.
In Christ you say you do believe a must,
but your own ability is all trust.
When calamity rings ding dong,
God above is all wrong.
When you’re down and out.
Instead of humbly asking you walk tall and proud,
So comes the biggest stumble
hardest fall
bones broken
face down no one to call
Turn on your back and call to God our Father thou art
He loves and forgives
picks you up on His knee
holds you tight to His chest,
He heals all pain and brokenness
Now take His hand and take his love
For all He cares is from earth and heaven above
