"No Carol this Christmas" by Mike Valentine

No Carol this Christmas

It’s gonna be cold and quiet come December
There are gonna be long, silent nights and dismal days
And in those lonely hours, I’ll remember
That blue-eyed girl and all her crazy ways.

So tell me, what would Christmas be, without a Carol?
It just wouldn’t be the same at all
It just couldn’t be a merry Christmas, I know
When to the sound of bells the tears still fall.

There’ll be no stockings by the fire
No pretty presents on the floor
There’ll be no Carol in my Christmas this year
She just isn’t with me anymore

I know now, that’s how Christmas is without a Carol
There’s no angel on my Christmas tree
Just a fading photograph of someone I knew
Blowing kisses at a faded me.

There’ll be no candle by the window
No mistletoe above the door
There’ll be no Carol in my Christmas this year
She just isn’t with me anymore.

There’ll be no Carol this Christmas, I fear
She just isn’t with me anymore.
