Neptune
You warm this space with all the love in your heart.
The gravity pulls our time away and leaves us both just drifting apart.
For you leave me breathless in the way that you sway,
moving so graceful,
with no laws or boundaries,
no precepts to obey.
As I long for a wish to be fulfilled,
for the world to be placed on hold,
so that we can take a time to breathe,
to say one more prayer for the planets to align,
for the dust and smoke to block out the sun for a while,
so that we can find our way through space and time.
I am so amazed by perfect colour and blinded by your lights.
Yet still guided by your truth,
surrounded by nothing but silence,
we find a place to rest forever,
in a single moment of a tranquil state.
For then I realized that this is my chance that I can’t deny,
to find a resemblance of your life in the sky.
I never want to long for your presence,
So I imagine every orbit as the comfort in your smile,
But the stars together are not enough
to replace the light within you.
