My escape

Verse 1:

I like the way you stared at me
The sun was setting by the sea
The tears of joy I kissed away
Felt like forever since that day
The day you used to hold my hand
Walking barefoot in the sand
Until the day of your mistake
I slowly plotted my escape

Chorus:

Now it seems you’re runnin’ back – but I’ve moved on I’m right on track
Because you have realized your mistake – came runnin’ back but it’s too late

Verse 2:

Now I admit your great disguise
To hide away those awful lies
The ignorance behind the thought
The thought of never getting caught
But things have changed now ever since
You left behind the evidence
Which brought the clues to your mistake
By now I’m making my escape

Chorus:

Now it seems you’re runnin’ back – but I’ve moved on I’m right on track
Because you have realized your mistake – came runnin’ back but it’s too late
