Like a man’s shadow

We all come to a stage when we want to be treasured and loved, but sometimes unlike our hopeful wishes other actions are shoved.
We want to feel safe and reassured when we love back; at times we are not given that desired slack.

When the heart develops the ability to care for something living … always remember
pain will be a silent companion, like a man with a shadow.

(Chorus)

Broken hearts how cliché,
We see them forming everyday
Why do these sad tales make the best songs
By exploiting the bad ones’ wrongs?

We all have a shadow, you will not notice it until you’re met with the right conditions, a broken heart, a loss, or by poor decisions.

Putting a foot down, forming a forgiving heart.
Tenderness is still present; through it all I give thanks to you with no doubt. Having you removed from my life was a blessing in disguise. Never again having to fear those lying lips. Now a better life can arise.

(Chorus)

Broken hearts how cliché,
We see them forming everyday
Why do these sad tales make the best songs
By exploiting the bad ones’ wrongs?

Pain is a stepping stone to move from one thing to something better. Not for you to live in the past as by reading over and over some old letter.

Like the story of the Potter and the clay, in order for the clay to become useful it must go through a fire one day. The pain will die down, die down eventually, the next time a new flame comes the blow will be cushioned, you’ll see.

Like a man with a shadow the sun will die down and the shadow will vanish while you are in the mists of a cool breeze and will revitalize not famish, not famish.

Only by power from God and power of will can each cell in any heart be revived and end tears’ spill. You will find that longing spark, with light’s trust, and man’s shadow will no longer play a part.

We all deserve to be happy, free to feel safe, and not lead good people’s spirits to chafe.

True happiness must come from the One who made all, and that is God.
Follow the path given to you; it may seem odd, but hidden blessings are catered to you for your new start.

(Chorus)

Broken hearts how cliché,
We see them forming everyday
Why do these sad tales make the best songs
By exploiting the bad ones’ wrongs
By exploiting the bad ones’ wrongs?

Next time shadow comes, it will know its place, beneath your feet on the ground, with you still standing through God’s grace.

Still standing through God’s grace.

God’s grace.

[End of song]

“Cliché” = French for “typical”, something used over and over again.
