The Second Karoo Development Conference will take place from 14 to 17 October 2012 in Beaufort West. Subjects including tourism, fracking, poverty alleviation, community resilience, Karoo heritage, and the management of mining in the Karoo will be discussed.

Visitors will also get the opportunity to purchase local craft and food products at a special exhibition venue nearby.
