"I have Dreamt of a Place" by Gareth Mostert

I have Dreamt of a Place

Covered by darkness my world stands still
and in the night I find spaces to fill
I close my eyes to the sounds of passing cars
and leave my mind to wander among the stars

And I dreamt of a place

here the sun and the moon share the sky
And it’s entirely possible to get by
on nothing more than your own humanity
And the streets glow in the colours of the free

I have dreamt of a place

Where everyone finds a place under the sun
where you're not the only one
and you're not trapped behind city walls
So let me welcome you to Freedom Falls

I have dreamt of a place

Where the evening air is soft and fresh
and filled with scents of musk and flesh
Where bedroom walls flicker in candlelight
and a fiery romance fills the night

And then I came back from my dreams
back in to the real world or so it seems
The air chokes me with its ash and smoke
and the bank sent a letter to say I'm broke

Welcome back, son
Now get back to work
