Heaven in her eyes

There she goes again
Making me wonder where her sorrowful past began
Making me wonder who will finally make it end
Oh, there she goes again
with heaven hidden in her eyes

She works twelve hours every day
Then lets drinks flush her problems away
She lets smoke blow all of her troubles away
It’s a shame her feet had to follow this dark route
When her heart still shines with so much good
If only somebody could save her, if only somebody could see
Heaven is hiding in her eyes
She needs somebody to love her
Love her for her
Love her for her

Some might see hell residing in her desperate lies
But they’ve failed to see heaven hiding in her eyes
It’s heaven inside her eyes (x3)

She was her family’s only misfit
But that never caused her wrists to be slit
Her dark days have died a happy death
She’s just savouring life, breath by breath

She just needs somebody to love her
Love her for her
Love her for her.

No words of hatred in her vocabulary
Only peace and love; her two-word dictionary
She just needs somebody to see
It’s heaven inside her eyes (x2)

The naked eye will just pass her by
Don’t let her love die, don’t let it die
She needs somebody to love her
Love her for her
Love her for her
Some might see hell residing in her desperate lies
But they’ve failed to see heaven hiding inside her eyes

If only somebody could save her
If only somebody could see (x2)
It’s heaven inside her eyes (x2)
Heaven inside her eyes
