"Heartbeat" by Margaret Lotz

Heartbeat

CHORUS:
I have a desire
my heart burns like a fire
A black hole swallowed up my dreams
but in the darkness you can still hear my heartbeat

As if a shooting star she disappeared
the skies one star poorer in her absence
The darkness more consuming
as the night grew its wings taller
But in heaven her heartbeat still lived on
the rhythm playing a song

CHORUS

The hope she once had
hanged on a thread
But as earth turned her head
the night started to fade
And the darkness could no longer
embrace the emptiness she left
As her heartbeat grew stronger
and the sun showed her face

CHORUS

You can still hear my heartbeat
