Forbidden Phoenix

I see you standing in the doorway
only a hand’s reach away
My eyes notice your pale complexion
Your dark hair, blue eyes, a picture of perfection

Your nails painted black
A dragon tattoo caressing your back
I don’t know why I’m so drawn to you
I’m stunned, confused, mesmerised by you

Who are you?
An angel dressed in leather
Where did you come from?
Did you fall from heaven?

I feel so ashamed of how naturally plain I am
For you’re are a fiery phoenix and I’m an innocent lamb
You finally notice me, I blush and quickly look away
If only you could be mine, I softly pray

Without hearing your approach
I’m startled by your touch
Electricity from your gentle yet firm grip
My body shivers, I’m starting to trip

With a sinister look on your face
You lead me to a quieter, much darker place
Having no fear, anticipating what you’re about to do
I surrender it all, body and soul, to you

Embracing me
A deep blue sea
I’m shining like the sun
as we become one
