The Sanlam Prize for Youth Literature is awarded every second year. This year, authors weren’t restricted by a prescribed theme and as a result the publishers received an exciting variety of manuscripts. A record number of isiZulu entries were received this year. All manuscripts are judged anonymously. Past winners of this prize includes Marita van der Vyver, Jenny Robson and E.D.M. Sibiya.
