The say talk is cheap
But life and death lie in the power of the tongue
Practice makes perfect
But nobody’s perfect
An eye for an eye
But oh my
Two wrongs don’t make a right
And if the sky is the limit
Why are there footprints on the moon?
All these different similarities
Are messing up my sanity
Though it is the reality
I’m in need of some major clarity
Chorus:
Life was once Love-Integrity-Faith-Empathy
So many find it hard to align with these traits
In a world consumed by Lust-Infidelity-Fear-Envy
Contradictions are a way of life
Guess we’re certain that the uncertainties will forever remain
We all live to die
It may sound like a true lie
But we can’t deny that it aches to say hello to goodbye
We're very quick to blame the negative on the opposite sex
Not even by choice but rather reflex
Some get married to a divorce
“Friends cannot be trusted” is a lesson that everybody preaches
But we’re all labelled as friends and that’s a conclusion that nobody reaches
So who is the victim?
And who is in actual fact the villain?
Once again, I’m in need of some major clarity
Chorus
The love for lust continues to take over
Staying true to infidelity has become a norm
The power of faith is overclouded by fear
Identifying with envy has never been so common
That’s just how the universe is screwing us over
Is it just a phase?
And must we wait ‘til it’s over?
Right now it is obvious that life conflicts with life
Chorus
