"Carving Silence" by Benjamin Fish

Carving Silence

It’s easy to get written off like a fast car
The hollow winter chill crept beside me
The feelings of nostalgia unwinding
and the wings of the sound unravelling
I’m far from home and travelling
I need a guitar to release this
constant nagging like tagging
So much soul in this aero
Just kind of left this plane
And even though you’ve forgotten me
this is a moment that kinda erupted
And I thought of you
‘Cause remember how you felt?
About the Durban rain
It was that kind of feeling
Blue Iron bridge
Dove Tail Join
and super sleepy sliding
Water, cold, colliding
Banks overriding
by this flooded winter memory
I know you would’ve known
Like silence understands when to never speak
