Athol Williams
Athol Williams is a senior lecturer at UCT, and a strategy and corporate responsibility advisor. He is a multi-award-winning author of 12 books, and has had over 100 of his poems published in publications around the world. Athol is the only person to have earned five master’s degrees from five of the world’s top universities, and the only person to win the Sol Plaatje EU Poetry Award twice. He is the chair of Read to Rise, which promotes youth literacy and hosts the Cape Flats Book Festival.
