An end to feeling
Shallow breaths in a shallow grave
buried alive in the darkest mind
No air, no light, no sound to hear
Impossible for anyone to ever find
Tears have long since dried
Screams faded to silence
Scars remain of having tried
Vain attempts at something more
Pain the only emotion felt
Inside the emptiness of the heart
Hope wasted upon cards dealt
By the bloody hand of fate
A whisper escapes in the night
Forgotten dreams and prayers
not unearthed or returned to light
Rather just an end to feeling
