"A true believer" by Thabang Ephraim

A true believer

He’s sitting in the corner
waiting for someone to give him a job
He does not have matric
or any other qualification to pursue his dream
All he has is prayers to keep him going
Parents are nowhere to be found
Maybe they are underground
But a messenger of hope visits him every night
He’s gonna make it, gonna be alright
Just by believing that God will give him strength
A true believer
