46664

He came from a land
Believing in his work
Believing in his word

It started on an island without a boat
A walk to freedom in a world without a road

Between prison walls
he kept his goals, he built dreams
And though impossible as it may seems
he still believed
Through prison walls he heard the ocean
Saw the mountain and the stars
And a rainbow, there must be a God

Through African storms he leads the way
never knowing that the world would follow him someday
Leading a nation, building destination
One dream, one goal, one soul, one man, one name

27 years in prison, 27 years away
From foe, friends and family
counting each day
Spokesman for prisoners, leader with a goal
Known all over loved by all
his own people and the world
