"Weakness" by Jeanette Grobler

  • 0

Never let a man know your weaknesses
Never let him know your fears
Sometimes he’ll use these against you
And he’ll cause you many, many fears

He’ll threaten to leave you, should you speak up
And refuse you permission, to own that new pup

He’ll use your weakness at every turn
And remind you of the lesson, you have to learn

Years will go by and you’ll wonder why
You had no courage and you didn’t even try

You exposed yourself to such a bully
He could read your soul and he used it fully

He will go on and his life is a ball
You in the end, is the one who will fall

So take a deep breath and show a strong face
So he’ll never know your weakness
As you run, a good race
