"Piano" by Donovane van Dyk

I’m playing my piano on a lonely Saturday night
We used to have coffee between these hours up until midnight
But you packed up your things and went away
You left nothing except your smell and some memories.
This piano and my heart’s broken melodies

Old piano play your melodies
The lonely notes and empty space between you and me
It’s only you and your music that heals my pain
I forget about the world and its endless misery when you’re with me
My piano just play your melody

These fingers dance across your black and white smile
The ring on my finger was proof that you once were mine
Piano my buddy can you tell me why she left?
Was that man really worth it?
Never mind this feeling hurts but thanks to you and your lovely sound
The word keeps spinning around.

Old piano play your melodies
The lonely notes and empty space between you and me
It’s only you and your music that heals my pain
I forget about the world and its endless misery when you’re with me
My piano just play your melody (x2)
