"Ordinary" by Thabiso Happy Simons

Preferred Band/Artist: AKA

Am just an ordinary South African
Living as orderly as I can
Now as I sit and observe
I feel born to serve our generation
Try to give guidance
Throughout the continent
For silence is not always golden
Never mind my loneliness
For now am dolo
But we can conjure ideas for Africa
The struggle will recede
En route to conquer
Lil' things may succeed
It starts with a droplet in the ocean
Let's reach deep in our pockets
And help the orphans

I dwell ko kasi
Charity starts at home
Yes, a country under democracy
A lush Mzansi I hope
We must follow through on promises
Plenty of homage to Martin Luther
They say black don't crack
Why has my brotha a scar on his face
Trust me, we lack guidance
Human race governed by violence
A change will not happen by chance
Gone are times we deployed samurais
That's if we be going that route
Listen, I tell you the truth, some will die
Killing won't help, rally for peace
Africa's my joy, I live with ease
