"Losing you" by Kimba Gabriel

  • 0

You tear me apart in ways that surprise me
You bring out the tears that drown the man in me
Suffocate me to the point of death
Even when out of breath you cut me deep
And I just lay there and watch this blood flow from me
My soul still wanders like a ghost on the hunt for haunting
Staring through the window of nothing these eyes never sleep
Morning or dusk forever in mourning
That you'll never see
’Cause all you see is what you want to
And believe me what hurts more than pain is not losing you
But knowing I never lost you ’cause you weren't mine in the first place
Time and space are more alike yet time exists in a space where time ain’t enough
So eternity's never really time but space
So I'm sitting here staring at that clock on the wall
Waiting, hoping for eternity to call
Never flinching holding my breath
Eight lives ain’t enough and a lifetime like that rainbow when the rains come and go
It fades
So the next time that you find
Find yourself clouded
With memories and feelings that you can’t define
Remember that lil’ smile you cracked when all you wanted was to cry
Or that deep breath you took when you just wanted to die
So I paint you a picture, a scripture of words that bring tears and laughter
So in this moment whichever comes first I pray you let it linger
’Cause in my soul in the very essence of it
There you are...
A warm blanket on her back, a prayer in heart, and beauty full dream in her soul
