For so long love seemed so far away
For so long had I forgotten how to feel
I grasped onto things I’d left behind
I’d forgotten what it was like to be real
Little did I know it wouldn’t last forever
This emptiness I felt would break apart
Little did I know that she was right there
A special little girl who would enter my heart
I knew it the first time that I saw her
I don’t know how, but I could tell
That there’d be something strong between us
The only girl to whom my heart would sell
She had a great smile that was filled with love
Eyes that would sparkle and a body to match
Her laugh was so gorgeous it set me on fire
She’s what you would call the perfect catch
And as those eyes peered straight to mine
It’s like our lives flashed right before me
I could tell there’d be a future there
I knew that she’d been built just for me
I might not see it written in the stars
But I can see the stars set in her eyes
And when she lies there next to me
Those lips of hers could tell no lies
When I sleep I dream about her
The love in my heart just sits so deeply
And when I wake she’s still on my mind
I’ll always need to have her near me
I can’t believe I’m with her now
She makes my life just feel so great
It’s not too early or hard to tell
I may’ve just found my true soul mate
She might not see it the way I do
My once hard heart is on the mend
I hope she knows this as the truth
I’ll be here with her to the very end
