"Hard but not impossible" by Marvin Smith

As spring brings blossom to nature
A man should his woman
Yet not change like the seasons
But stay evergreen
Not have her sway to his tongue
For selfish gain
But have her see his truth in his deeds
Not bury her with material things
Rather with the little things
Do things for her
Consider her in all his actions
Not leave her to bare faith
But to prove his worth and trust
Be the happening of her happiness
Her pillar of strength
A man, the man
A real man, one she can rely upon
In any situation
At every moment
Always available
Always attentive
Always reliable
Always just her man
A true man
An understanding man
A supportive man
Himself without shame
Not bringing shame to her
Her guardian
Her lover
Her best friend
Her motivation
Her inspiration
Her strength
Her partner
Her drive
Her everything
Yet like winter
Most of us cover them in snow
When we should keep them warm
We leave them cold and withering
Yearning for the sun to once again shine
Yet mostly finding themselves
Under the sheet of night
Where the moon and the stars we offer
Serves as their only comfort
And finding a real man amongst
The cluster of wolves
Is no easier than having to
Understand a woman
Hard but not impossible
