The web was spun
And as I flew in
My eyes were opened
Just enough
To see an obstruction
I hit it hard yet only alerted one spider
But was twisted into playing dead
To save the life of another also caught
One who's story later didn't add up
Who's words were coated in honey
Yet absinthian in nature
Her eyes always nervously jumping to and fro
Never making contact for more than a split moment
I lost myself to her
For even my sweet tooth seems fooled
Yearning to free her even if I remain stuck
Or at the cost of my life
I pursue a way forward
A way out
A new beginning
With new found spirit
Invigorated and revitalized
With newly found strength and wisdom
Filled with happiness
Content with love ...
